Curious about hypnosis?  Ever wondered whether it works, what it's like to be "hypnotised", or how you could use it?  Then come along to this informal workshop to find out.

Workshop takes place at SPACE studio in New Malden:  15 Penrith Road, New Malden, KT3 3QR.

New Malden Station is less than a 10 minute walk. There are numerous buses and the 131 bus stops a minute's walk away. On-street parking is free.  To access the studio, walk through the side gate of the house and down through the garden.

  • Understand the science behind hypnosis, what it is and what it isn't
  • Have fun experimenting with your own response to hypnotic suggestion
  • Discover the link between the mind and the body
  • Experience deep hypnotic relaxation for yourself
  • Discover the relationship between mindfulness and hypnosis
  • Learn how to increase your hypnotic responsiveness
  • Create your own self-hypnosis routines, based on what YOU want to experience

A scientific approach...

This workshop is grounded in science - it's not magic or fakery.  I'm an evidence-based practitioner with an MSc in Psychology.  I also teach at the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy.  I promise that everything I teach is backed by strong scientific evidence - although I also promise not to bore you with too much research!

There will be lots of fun exercises to try out and - if you want to - you'll have a chance to explore your own response to hypnotic suggestion, and to experience deep hypnotic relaxation.  Participation is, of course, entirely voluntary.

    About Me

    Mimi Fakhri MSc Dip. CBH GQHP

    I'm a fully qualified cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist and stress management coach.  I have a background in psychology.  My approach is grounded in widely-accepted and up to date psychological principles.

    I am passionate about prioritising our mental and physical well-being and providing people with the tools and skills to help them help themselves. My aim is that you become your own therapist, not reliant on me.

    I'm a specialist in relaxation, resilience and stress management. I worked for over 15 years in corporate business, so I understand first hand the pressures of a fast-paced, pressure-filled environment and the difficulties of juggling this with family life.

    I have an evidence-based philosophy, which means I believe you have the right to treatment which is based on sound scientific research. This means I keep up to date with the latest scientific research and my approach is based on the best up to date evidence.

    I also teach cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy and stress management at the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy.

    I'm registered with with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and Register for Evidence-based Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy (REBHP) and am bound to their stringent Codes of Ethics.
